2005 Matt Chapman Youth Masters

As Usual, we start

each day with the

Pledge of Allegiance

led by Jim Malek

As a special treat

this year, Adriane Hale

sang The National Anthem.

WOW, What a voice this kid has.

A fine group of Judges

All pilots were eager

to get started after

the 9:00 AM

pilots briefing.

Chase Wolk did

an excellent job of

takeoffs and landings

all day

Nick Foster not only helped judge

but called for any

contestant that needed him.

Last years winner,

Matthew Laine

also helped with

calling

The hard working

judges doing their thing.

After each flight, each

contestant was given

expert advice on how

to improve their skills.

TEAM LELAND
TO

THE RESCUE

After a problem with one
of the planes,
Joel Marley graciously
brought out his
Radio Craft Extra 330.

With the help of
Team Leland
member Mark McCellan.
the kids were soon back flying.

Several guys got

busy changing the engine

on the other plane

so that we could once

again have two planes

to work with.

These Gals make

a great cheering section.

What a job they did to

make each kid

feel special!

Joel Marly was

awarded the

Sportsmanship Award.

He did not hesitate to

donate the use of his

airplane when he

saw the need.

The prize this year was

a flight with Mr. Pat in

the PT13

FULL SCALE PT 13 !!

What a sight!

Even though the skies

were gray all day,

check out the

GREEN~ GREEN~ GREEN

Grass in all the pictures

As you can tell

from Basic Winner

Phillip Thornton's big grin,

he enjoyed his ride in

the PT 13

Advanced winner

Adam Ranck was

eager for takeoff

All the boys were eager

to help each other out.

It was the kind of

day
that the Youth

Masters is all about.

The kids and

their families had a

fun day of flying,

good fellowship, and pizza.

Be sure to encourage

the young flyers in

your area to come and

join us next year.
