NSRCA DISTRICT 2 CHAMPIONSHIP

Pattern flyers
and pattern enthusiasts from five states converged on Triple Tree over the weekend
of October 20/21 to battle for the NATIONAL SOCIETY OF RADIO CONTROLLED AEROBATICS
(NSRCA) District 2 Championship. We were treated to pristine field conditions,
weather and hospitality of the CAF. Saturday evening's traditional Triple Tree
Bar-B-Que was a surprise to many and a huge hit with good food, cool evening
temperatures and a roaring fire in the walk-in fireplace. Later in the night
for those who were not sleeping, we watched the meteor shower which was spectacular
because of the crystal clear sky.
Winners of each class are shown in the pictures here. Not shown are the dedicated
supporters who came to help make the contest run as smoothly as it did. THANKS
to John Ferrell for scoring all the flights, Jerry Plyler and Dave Guerin for
their help with judging duties. Also, thanks to FEDON AVIATION for the special
prizes contributed to the contest.
All of the contestants and supporters thank Pat and the CAF for a perfect weekend
of Pattern flying. Special THANKS as well to Kirby for spending the entire weekend
with us making sure we had every thing we needed. A weekend of fond memories
that we will be talking about for years to come.
