A glider group from
Spartanburg, SC came
to Triple Tree to check
out the facilities before
the EAA Fly In in

used to launch the

gliders.

Just a bit larger than

the ones the

RC sailplanes use

This is the view from

behind the protective cage

of the winch as it is

launching a glider.

The cage protects the

operator in case of a

tow cable break.

The arrows are pointing

to the tow line attached to

the winch and then after

the glider is released a

parrachute opens to

lower the line to the

ground.
