Traffic and Parking Information

Everyone Please take time to read over this.
A few things have changed and this should answer your questions!

As Always you must be a current AMA Member or Guest of a AMA Member. If you are a guest, the person that is inviting you must be with you or meet you at the gate. The gate will be operated 24 hours a day.

Shuttle Busses will be running continuously from the Gate to ALL Flight Lines.

As you come through the Main Gate you will be greeted by a Gate Worker. If you are a spectator you will be directed to the right in to the Spectator Parking Area (more about this later). If you are a Pilot, Vendor, Camping, or have a Handicap Hang Tag, you will be offered a waiver and directed to continue up the main road. Please fill out the waiver before getting to the top of the hill where another gate worker will be taking up the waivers and selling wristbands. The best way to do this is to print the waiver here and fill it out before you come and bring it with you. Everyone that comes through the gate must sign a waiver.

Spectators
As you come through the gate you will be directed in to the Spectator Parking Area. Please park nose in, to the lines painted on the ground. Then walk to the top of the hill to purchase your Wristbands. At the Ticket Gate we will have tables with Waivers on them. Fill out a waiver and bring it to the Gate Worker selling Wristbands. Everyone must sign a Waiver to come in. You can print it here and bring it with you to save time if you like. You must show your current AMA Membership card or be a guest of a AMA Member to get in. The AMA Member that you are the guest of must be with you to get in.
We have two Shuttle Busses that will be running continuously from 7:00am to 7:00pm (or later) each day. They will be making stops at the Heli Area, Spectator Parking, Main Flight Line, Float Flight Line, Electric Flight Line, 3D Flight Line and most anywhere you would like to get off at.
As you exit for the day, drive back to the gate where you came in and stay to the right to avoid cars entering the gate.

Handicap Parking
IF you have a Handicap Hang Tag you will be allowed to drive to the bottom of the hill to park in the Handicap Parking Area. You must show your current AMA Membership card or be a guest of a AMA Member to get in. The AMA Member that you are the guest of must be with you to get in.

Pilots and Vendors

As you come through the gate for the first time you will be directed to the top of the hill. There you will be asked for your waiver.  (See Below for first time through the gate requirements)
After your first time through the gate show the Gate Worker your Pilots Badge and Wristband. Then you will be sent straight through. Everyone in the car must show their wristband to get in. To speed things along. Lay you Pilots Badge or Vendors Badge on the dash and have everyone in the car hold their arm up where we can see your wristband and you most likely won't even have to stop.

Preregistered Pilots
If you have preregistered tell the gate worker and they will check to see if your name is on the Preregistered Pilots List. If it is you will be directed down the hill. Park near the in the upper Pilots Parking area and go to the Main Flight Line Gazebo to get your pilot pack. Then you may park in any of the parking areas.
If your name is not on the list you will be directed in to the Spectator Parking area and you will have to purchase a wristband for the day. You should then go to the Main Flight Line Gazebo to find out why you were not on the list. Your Money will be refunded there if the problem is worked out. Then you can get your car and move it down the hill. (This does happen, so let us apologize for any inconvenience and Thank You for your patience in this matter)

Pilots Wanting to Register at the event
If you would like to Register to be a pilot. Tell this to the first gate worker and they will send you to the top of the hill where you will be asked to pull to the side of the road and register at the Welcome Center.  Then you will be given your wristband for the day and a receipt. Take this to the Main Flight Line Gazebo to Complete your registration.

Float, Heli and Electric Field pilots are not required to have an IMAA Membership.

You must show your current AMA Membership card or be a guest of a AMA Member to get in. The AMA Member that you are the guest of must be with you to get in.  Then will need to pay the Camping fee for the remainder of the event.
