Welcome to Triple Tree

Yes, we have room for your tour bus.  With over 400 acres everyone is welcome to pitch their tent, popup, travel trailer, or motor home.  Show up any time day or night. The events starts and the gate will open at 5:00pm, Friday May 6th. If you show up before this time you will be asked to park on the right in the spectator parking area. Please form rows. This will be the order you are let in.

After the gates open!

When you pass thru the gate for Triple Tree Aerodrome please pull off the road at  the top of the hill and walk up to the Welcome Center to get checked in.

Please try to have your wavers signed. All the camping fees and spectator fees will be collected for the rest of the week at this time. (Event Pricing Click Here)

Where to Camp

We will try and attempt to answer one of the most complicated questions of the Joe Nall.  “Where should I camp?”  There are five flight lines and room at all of them to camp.  If it is your first time you might want to park on the hill and take a walk around and see what fits your needs.  Look at the map and aerial photos to help you decide (Map click here coming soon).  Some like to pitch a tent back in the tree line and others park campers and RV’s on the hill looking over the main line.  The 3D line has large shaded areas to park campers under the trees.  The opposite side of the lake has some of the best views of the event as you look across the 40 acre lake. As a general rule for all flight lines there is NO tenting or campers on the flight lines. This will include the float fly line this year. Only vehicles and airplane trailers can park directly behind the tent lines.

What to Expect.

When you find that perfect spot to setup camp, you might need blocks to help level your trailer, so bring several blocks with you.  There are two Bathhouses on site with toilets, showers and hot water.  The largest is at the main flight line near the hanger.  The second bathhouse is at the 3D line. Porta-johns are everywhere! There are no hook ups for campers so plan accordingly.  Water jugs can be filled near the bathhouses.  The company that services the porta-johns will pump out holding tanks for a fee when they are on site. The food vendors, onsite, will serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the day. Bag Ice and ice cream can also be purchased on site.  In the evenings during the week there will be several dinners, please check our Events Schedule for more details. On Friday evening join everybody at our World’s Famous Joe Nall BBQ.  Get your tickets early as we always sell out the 1200 tickets. There is a small Grocery store a mile up the road. The town of Woodruff is 4 miles up the road and has a couple of large grocery stores and some restaurants. Camping supplies can be purchased and Propane tanks can be refilled at the ACE Hardware store beside BI-LO in town.

Night Life

There are plenty of nighttime activities. Night flying is the most popular.  You can see 4 to 5 lighted planes in the sky at any time. Movies and slideshows will be shown nightly at the hangar. The hanger is open with people hanging out talking about the day. One of the most popular evening activities is “The Joe Nall Valkyrie Big Build” project is in the hanger. Come by and glue some sticks together, usually there till midnight. Karaoke at the Hangar and 3D Gazebo, so start warming up those windpipes. (as a side note you may want to bring ear plugs for these nights) If you would like a campfire please use a portable fire pit as to not burn up the grass. Firewood is available, but you will have to cut it from the piles of timber on the lower end. No need for alarm clocks. The dawn patrol will wake you up.

 Over Six Miles of Trails!

The Trails have been marked for your convenience. If you need a map showing the trails and their approximant lengths. Click here or ask at the Main Gazebo. The trials or for walking mainly all though slow vehicle traffic is allowed. They are not 4 wheeling trails and should be treated with respect. We encourage you to leave your vehicle at the entrance to the trails and take a peaceful walk enjoying the wildlife and all the beauty Mother Nature has to share with us.

Wristbands at The Nall!

This year for your safety and security we are going to require everyone at the Nall to wear a wristband. A different color wristband will be given for each day. If you are wearing the wrong colored wristband or not wearing a wristband you will be asked to show your AMA Card and required to purchase another wristband or leave. We know over the years people have been coming in after the gate closes and feel that this may give someone that doesn't respect your Equipment and/or Triple Tree a opportunity to cause us all a lot of grief.
So bare with us and understand if someone stops you if you don't have a wristband on. We are doing this for you!
Thanks!

Fishing

The fishing is great in both the upper and lower lakes so bring your poles. We have Catfish, Bass, and Bream in both lakes. These lakes offer some of the best top water fishing I have ever done, so bring your fly rods also. Our trained fish in each lake give their lives each year, so you can teach your kids the joy of fishing. Without them loosing interest, waiting on the fish to bite. So if you want to keep a few to eat that is fine. (Don't put on a fish fry for everyone at "The Nall") If you are not going to eat them we ask you to release them as soon as you can, so the next guy or gal can have the same fun you did.

"Please do not use live minnows for bait"

Please, Catch and Release!
